Abia Warriors 2-2 Rangers: Southeast derby ends in a stalemate

The Southeast derby was action packed and nothing separates the two teams after 90 minutes on Sunday at the Umuahia township stadium. Abia Warriors came back twice from behind to take a point at home.

Bobby Clement put Rangers in front but Uluocha scored from the spot to make it all square before Chisom Egbuchulam restored Rangers lead before half time.

Super Eagles striker, Chisom Chikatara equalised for the home side on 65minutes, Abia Warriors searched for the winner but Rangers defended well to deny the Warriors the maximum 3 points.

Abia Warriors now have 10 points from 5 games and remain the only team yet to be beaten in the NPFL this season.

They are now 6th on the log while Rangers International are 2nd on the log with 11 points.
