Ademola Lookman Ends Goal Drought as Atalanta Thrash Monza 4-0

Ademola Lookman returned to the scoresheet as Atalanta secured a dominant 4-0 win over Monza in a Serie A clash on Sunday afternoon.

The Nigerian forward ended his six-match goal drought by scoring Atalanta’s third goal just two minutes into the second half. It was his 14th league goal of the season in 29 appearances.

Charles De Ketelaere gave Atalanta the lead in the 12th minute and added a second 11 minutes later to put the visitors firmly in control.

After Lookman’s goal shortly after the break, he was substituted in the 80th minute for Marco Brescianini, who went on to complete the rout with Atalanta’s fourth goal in the 88th minute.

The victory boosts Atalanta’s push for European qualification under manager Gian Piero Gasperini.
