AFCON 2021: 14 Eagles in Abuja Camp as Pinnick assures Nigeria
The Nigeria Football Federation president Amaju Pinnick as assured Nigerians of a good outing at the 2021 AFCON.
Only fourteen Super Eagles players are currently at the Abuja camp but Pinnick believes they will deliver.
Nigeria’s preparation has been affected by various issues such as Victor Osimhen missing through injury and COVID-19.
Watford not allowing Emmanuel Dennis to link up with the Eagles.
Injury to Paul Onuachu, in-form Ademola Lukmon not cleared by FIFA.
Rumours that Odion Ighalo could be prevented from joining the Abuja camp.
But in all of these, 14 players have turned up with more expected in coming days.
And Pinnick is confident Eagles will deliver.
“The preparation seems lacklustre but trust me, when it comes to the pitch and when they wear that green shirt and look at Nigerians, they’ll give their best.”
