VIDEO: Dennis was threatened by Watford – Eguavoen

The Super Eagles interim head-coach Augustine Eguavoen has cleared the air on Emmanuel Dennis exclusion from the final list for 2021 AFCON.

Earlier today, Emmanuel Dennis and Victor Osimhen two of Nigeria’s biggest stars in Europe were excluded from the final list to the surprise of many.

Victor Osimhen was reportedly excluded because of COVID-19 while the NFF statement said “Emmanuel Dennis, whose English Premiership club is baring fangs, has been excused.”

Just like every other Nigerian fans who thought Emmanuel Dennis exclusion could have been as a result of what Claudio Ranieri pointed out few days back or the claims that he wanted to focus on his club career.

There were questions without answers but coach Augustine Eguavoen seems to have solved the puzzle with the interview he granted NFF TV today.

“Emmanuel Dennis told me he wanted to come, said Augustine Eguavoen.

“We did everything possible but he said the club threatened him.”
