AFCON 2021: No rest as Eagles return to training for Sudan clash
Following a fascinating win over the Pharaohs of Egypt on Tuesday, the Super Eagles, this morning, went all out for a recovery session ahead their Saturday’s group game.
Kelechi Iheanacho’s superb strike on the 30th minute around the edge of the box was what separated both sides in the clash.
A total of 25 players participated fully in the recovery, excluding Kenneth Omeruo, who was stretched off yesterday due to a slight injury. The center-back only had a light training on his own.
The three-time African champions will intensify preparations tomorrow as they plan to slug it out with Sudan on Saturday evening in their second Group D clash.
The Eagles currently top their group with three points as counterparts Sudan and Guinea-Bissau are both on one point.
