AFCON2021: Ighalo to miss out could be be replaced today?
Looks like Nigeria will lose another player to club-nation battle having previously lost in the Dennis Emmanuel battle.
Just as we previously reported Odion Ighalo might not be released by his Saudi club for AFCON 2021 and further investigation has shown that there is a clause in his contract.
A clause that restricts him from honouring national team tournament.
“The issue with Odion Ighalo and club has to do with his contract,” says Tobi Samuel
“He has a clause that he won’t allow him to honour national team tournament.
“NFF and CAF are discussing with the club and will conclude today, Ighalo might miss out.”
And it looks like coach Augstine Eguavoen would announce a replace today.
“If we don’t have any positive news on Ighalo by 5PM, I will replace him,” said Eguavoen.
