South Africa, Egypt and Ghana recorded big wins in the men’s category as African Hockey teams battle for tickets to the 2020 Olympics games.
As expected the top three African countries recorded huge wins in their first games at the ongoing qualifiers at Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa.
South Africa pip Namibia 3-1, Egypt trashed Zimbabwe 6-0 while Ghana sneaked passed Kenya 3-2 in the men’s category.
There were wins for Ghana and Kenya in the women’s category; Ghana pipped Zimbabwe 3-2, Kenya won 1-0 against Namibia in a closely contested game.
