Ahmed Musa redeems ₦1 million per goal Olympics Eagles’ promise

Super Eagles stand-in captain Ahmed Musa has redeemed the promise of a million naira per goal he made to the Olympics Eagles before their second leg clash against Libya.

After going down 2-0 to Libya in their AFCON U23 qualifier 1st leg game played in Tunisia last week, the Olympics Eagles needed all the motivations they could get for the return leg in Asaba.

Ahmed Musa who knew the boys had a daunting task ahead of them promised to give a million naira for each goal scored in Asaba on Monday, all in a bid to push the boys to the next stage.

Olympics Eagles rallied in the second leg played on Monday and put four goals past their Libyan counterparts to qualify for the last qualifying round after aggregate win of 4-2.

Ahmed Musa has now given the sum of 4 million naira to the boys after they confirmed the alert of the cash from the former Leicester City attacker.

Victor Osimhen scored three goals, David Okereke added the fourth to complete the easy win for Imama Amapakabo boys.
