Ahmed Musa set to headline NPFL Matchday 21 as Kano Pillars host Adamawa United

Heartland face Katsina United in grudge match, Plateau United seek revenge on Kwara United

Matchday 21 of the NPFL season is set to take place today with one game broadcast live on the NPFL.tv app and NTA.

Having drawn their last meeting on the opening day of the season, Kano Pillars and Adamawa United will lock horns at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna. This time, Kano Pillars superstar Ahmed Musa is set to make his second debut for the club having been cleared to play the game. A win for Kano Pillars may take them to the summit of the NPFL, while Adamawa United remain rooted to the bottom of the table. The game will be aired live on NTA and the NPFL.tv app from 4pm.

Heartland welcome Katsina United to the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri looking to first avenge their opening day defeat to Katsina United and also their displeasure over the manner by which their former player, Samuel Nnoshiri left for Katsina United. Both teams won on Matchday 20, making this all the more interesting.

Kwara United host Plateau United at the Kwara State Sports Complex as they look to bounce back from their defeat at the hands of Nasarawa United and move back to the top of the league. Plateau United were beaten at home by Kwara United in the reverse fixture, and they will surely be looking to pick up a win today.

Rangers International host Rivers United at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu. Impenetrable at home, Rivers United have shown a soft underbelly in away games and Rangers will look to take full advantage of this fact. Rivers United won the first meeting between these sides this season and will be looking to complete the double over the Flying Antelopes.

Wikki Tourists host Nasarawa United at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi as they look to avenge their opening day defeat at the hands of the Solid Miners and also bounce back from their thrashing at Katsina United last time out.

In the second instalment of the Qua Iboe Derby, Dakkada host Akwa United at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo. The first leg ended 0-0 and the fans will be looking for goals in this encounter between the city rivals. Akwa United will aim to keep their spot at the summit of the league.

Sunshine Stars host Jigawa Golden Stars at the Ondo State Sports Complex hoping to pick up their first win in the league since Matchday 7, a run that has seen them slip into relegation troubles. The Akure Gunners lost the first leg of this encounter away from home.

Lobi Stars welcome FC Ifeanyi Ubah to the Aper Akure Stadium in Makurdi. The Anambra Warriors are presently 19th on the log and will be looking to repeat their earlier success against Lobi Stars this season with a rare away win that can help them move away from danger.

Warri Wolves host MFM FC at the Ozoro Poly Stadium in a game of importance at the bottom of the table. Warri Wolves are in the relegation zone, but a win for them will drag MFM into the relegation scrap. MFM won the first leg and will need to conjure a win in this game to remain clear of the relegation zone.

The Abia Warriors versus Enyimba game has been postponed due to Enyimba’s involvement in the CAF Confederation Cup where they take on Egyptian side, Pyramids FC at 5pm today.
