Ahmed Musa thanks Nigerians for support after Cote d’Ivoire AFCON win

Super Eagles of Nigeria skipper Ahmed Musa has expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their support and assured them that the team will continue to let their performance on the pitch speak for them.

The Super Eagles secured a 1-0 victory against Ivory Coast on Thursday, January 18, 2024 boosting their chances of advancing to the knockout stages of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Speaking with NFF TV, Musa thanked Nigerians for their support and stated that the players will focus on their performances on the pitch.

He highlighted the team’s commitment to doing everything they can to reach the final on February 11. Musa emphasized that the Super Eagles aim to make Nigeria proud, and their goal is to return home with joy and success.

Musa said: “We are going to the talking on the pitch as you can see against Ivory Coast where we did one of the talkings on the pitch. We will continue to do that till the final on February 11 so that we go back to Nigeria very happy.

“We will keep on doing our best to make Nigeria proud. Once again, we are sending our support to Nigerians the way they supported us with their prayers So we say, thank you very much.”

Nigeria will face Guinea Bissau in their final group game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
