A’ja Wilson scores 36 as Aces eliminate Caitlin Clark and Fever

A’ja Wilson delivered another huge performance as the Las Vegas Aces eliminated Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever from the WNBA playoffs with a 94–83 win in Game 3.

Wilson finished with 36 points and 10 rebounds, shooting 11 of 18 from the field as the defending champions closed out the winner-take-all game in Las Vegas.

The Aces built a 12-point lead in the third quarter, but Indiana refused to go away. They cut the deficit to two points in the fourth before Las Vegas responded with a late 12–3 run to secure the victory.

Chelsea Gray added 23 points for the Aces, while Jackie Young finished with 18 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

Clark scored 18 points for Indiana after opening the game with 11 points in the first quarter. She was held to just seven points for the rest of the game, while Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever with 23 points.

The defeat ends Indiana’s season and means the Aces have eliminated the Fever from the playoffs for the second consecutive year. Las Vegas now moves on to the semifinals, where it will face either the Golden State Valkyries or Dallas Wings.

Wilson also became the first player in WNBA history to record 12 postseason games with at least 30 points, according to Field Level Media.
