Akpeyi nominated for PSL goalkeeper of the 2019/20 season

Super Eagles goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi has been nominated for The South African professional football league goalkeeper of the just concluded season.

Daniel Akpeyi was leading Kaizer Chiefs to their first title since 2014-15 season before injury ended his hopes and that of his side who allowed 10 points lead to slip away.

The 34-year-old goalkeeper who is up against Mamelodi Sundowns’ Dennis Onyango and SuperSports’ Ronnwen Williams for the award kept 10 clean sheets and conceded 26 goals in 27 games.

Dennis Onyango kept 16 clean sheets, conceded 32 goals in 39 appearances for the PSL winners Mamelodi Sundowns and Ronnwen Williams, kept 16 clean sheets, conceded 30 goals in 37 appearances for Supersports United.
