Akpom On Target For Middlesbrough Against Blackpool
Chuba Akpom scored a brace for Middlesbrough against Blackpool in a 3-0 win to continue his rich vein of form in the Championship.
Akpom has enjoyed a prolific season in the English second tier division, scoring consistently for Michael Carrick’s men.
He gave Middlesbrough the lead in the 32nd minute, before adding the second goal just before the hour mark.
Patrick Mcnair put the icing on the cake with the third goal in the 70th minute.
Akpom has now scored three goals in his last two Championship games, He currently leads the scoring chart with 16 goals for Middlesbrough this season.
The win takes Middlesbrough to 48 points, 10 adrift of Sheffield United in the second position.
Akpom will hope to continue his impressive form when Middlesbrough travels to Cardiff next Saturday.
