Akwa United vs Plateau United – Baraje wants maximum points and nothing less
Akwa United will be looking forward to a victory when they host Plateau United at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Friday evening.
The Promise Keepers of Uyo will aim at winning the trust of their home fans after they were humbled at the Nest of Champions by visiting Mokana in the CAF Confederation Cup. In spite of their defeat to Mokana at the Nest of Champions, the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium has proven to be a solid ground for the Keepers.
Plateau United will be looking forward to picking at least a point against a motivated Akwa United side. The newly promoted club will be in their full strength come Friday as there are no cases of injuries or suspensions.
Plateau United have just one goal in their two away games this season losing both games by a high magin of goals 3-1 to Rangers and 3-0 to Wikki Tourist . However, Plateau United head Coach Zachary Baraje, will be coming to Uyo with his mind set on picking all three points.
Zachary Baraje who was the former coach of the Uyo based club, spoke Exclusively to Sports Ration: ” just like every other games, picking maximum points is what we want, nothing less.”
He also admitted that scoring goals is a major problem and he has worked with his players on converting goals. “We’re working hard to solve our inability to score goals. If we’re tactically disciplined we should be able to contain the Akwa United attacking force, we’ve worked on that too.”
