Al-Shabab move to stop Odion Ighalo from AFCON 2021?

Odion Ighalo could miss the 2021 AFCON after the latest news coming from Saudi Arabia.

According to reports his club Al-Shabab want him to stay in Saudi Arabia and help them with their push for the title.

The 32-year-old striker who was recently recalled back into the Super Eagles fold was the top scorer at the last edition.

With Victor Osimhen, Dennis Emmanuel and Paul Onuachu out with different reasons, the mantle would rest on Ighalo to lead Eagles to glory.

But the current Saudi League top scorer could stopped by his title chasing club.

According to a popular Nigeria journalist Tobi Samuel, Al-Shabab are trying to stop Odion Ighalo.

Odion Ighalo is not just Al-Shabab top scorer he is also the league top scorer with 11 goals and 1 assist in 15 games.

Al-Shabab are 2nd on the log with 31 points, 1 point behind league leaders Al-Ittihad who have a game at hand.

Should Odion Ighalo join the Eagles he would be looking to add to his 5 goals at the African Cup of Nations.
