Alex Iwobi reacts to Arsenal win against 10-man Watford
Alex Iwobi has admitted Watford were a good match to Arsenal even though they eventually fell 1-0 in front of their fans in a Premier League clash Monday night.
“They fought till the last whistle and I think they deserved the accolades they received from their fans after the match,” Iwobi said.
“But we ought to have wrapped up the game in the first half after (Troy) Deeney’s red card, we created some chances but we couldn’t convert them.
“In the second half towards the end of the game, they looked as if they were 13 players on the field.”
Iwobi said the win was crucial as they have now returned to Top-4.
“The most important thing is that we won the match and we are fourth on the table with 66 points with a game in hand,” he said.
“Top-4 is our priority as a team.
