Algeria B 2-2 Nigeria : Dessers and Iwobi on target as home based Foxes hold Eagles in test game
Cyriel Dessers and Alex Iwobi came off the bench to score and help the Super Eagles to a 2-2 draw vs Algeria B team in a test game on Friday evening.
It was the home-based Foxes who took a 1-0 lead into the break at the Hamaloui Stadium in Constantine against the Super Eagles who gave an opportunity to several fringe players in the starting XI.
Cyril Dessers and Alex Iwobi came off the bench to score and rescue a 2-2 draw for Nigeria whose depth was stretched by the Algeria B team preparing for the 2023 CHAN tournament.
The hurriedly arranged test game is not recognized by FIFA but was a good opportunity for Jose Paseiro to test most of the Eagles’ fringe players ahead of the Main event on Tuesday, September 27.
