Alperen Sengun Shines With 26 Points as Rockets Beat Celtics

The Houston Rockets are continuing to make an early statement this season, and Alperen Sengun was once again at the heart of their success in Monday night’s 109-93 victory over the Boston Celtics.

Sengun put together an impressive all-round performance, finishing with 26 points, seven rebounds and 10 assists. He also recorded two steals and two blocks, showing just how much he can contribute beyond simply putting the ball in the basket.

What makes Sengun particularly dangerous is his ability to create opportunities for others. His 10 assists against Boston highlighted his importance as a playmaker, while his scoring ensured the Celtics could never afford to ignore him offensively.

Jabari Smith Jr. provided valuable support with 14 points and 10 rebounds, including four three-pointers. Amen Thompson also finished with 14 points, three rebounds and three assists.

Boston, meanwhile, struggled to find its rhythm against Houston’s defence and could manage only 93 points by the final buzzer.

For the Rockets, this was another statement victory. Improving to 7-1 is an impressive achievement, and the way Sengun is influencing games will give the team plenty of encouragement.

Houston will now look to maintain that momentum, while the Celtics will need a stronger response after being held to just 93 points.
