Alvaro Morata reveals the secret behind his celebration

Chelsea fans have gotten used to the sight of Alvaro Morata scoring this season after his club record transfer from Real Madrid over the summer.

The Spanish striker has bagged an impressive eight goals in his first 11 Premier League appearances and has also added a further four assists in the process.

With so many chances to celebrate, it is no surprise to see the 25-year-old is already switching up his celebrations just a few months into his Chelsea career.

Morata has paid tribute to former Blues forward Fernando Torres with his own version of the infamous ‘Spanish Archer’ celebration but against West Brom on Saturday, he honoured someone else.

The Spaniard opened the scoring for the Premier League champions in their 4-0 defeat of the Baggies and as he peeled away, he made the sign of an ‘A’ with his fingers.

After the game, Morata revealed that it was a reference to is wife Alice, writing: “Always A I love u so much.”

Following the game, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte praised Morata’s partnership with another person – Eden Hazard.

“We performed very well,” Conte said after the game.

“Morata and Hazard have a great link, they are now 100% fit.

“It is easy to forget that we started the season without Hazard… I played and I understand when you are against these types of players it is difficult to stop them, you try to find a different way to stop them.”
