Aminu shoots Trailblazers past Bulls, eyes Lebron’s scalp

D’Tigers’ Al Farouq Aminu was on different level as he dropped 24 points to help Portland Trailblazers to a 124-120 overtime win over Chicago Bulls on the road.

The Nigerian made the absence of star point guard Damian Lillard not felt as Blazers record a win at the United Center on Monday night.

Al Farouq Aminu who dropped 10 points, 5 rebounds and a block in Portland Trailblazers 89-104 loss to Atlanta Hawks on December 30th started the new year with a bang.

Aminu was in the court for 41 minutes and within the time he spent, he was able to go 24 points on 9-of-17 shooting, 7 rebounds, one assist and a steal.

The Chief was particularly impressive with his shots behind the arc as he went 5-of-7 in three points the highest accuracy by any player from both teams on display on Monday.

Al Farouq Aminu was only second to CJ MCCollum in points and third in efficiency behind CJ MCCollum and Nurkic.

Up next for Al Farouq Aminu and his teammates his clash against Lebron James’ Cleveland Cavaliers who will be welcoming their point guard Isaiah Thomas who had been out since his trade from Celtics to the 2016 NBA champions.

Al Farouq Aminu who is averaging 9.5 points per game, 7.0 rebounds and 1.1 asists per game is close to a season double-double.
