Amorim Earns Hard-Fought Win as Man United Edge Chaotic Clash

Ruben Amorim will not mind the manner of it – Manchester United finally claimed only their second Premier League win of the season in a match full of drama, tension and heavy rain at Old Trafford.

Both teams had a player sent off in the first half, and what once looked like a routine home win turned into a nervous finish. United led 2-0 through goals from Bruno Fernandes in the 14th minute and Casemiro soon after, following Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez’s red card in the fourth minute.

But the game shifted just before half-time when Casemiro was dismissed for a second yellow card. With both sides down to ten men, Chelsea grew stronger and pushed United all the way.

Trevoh Chalobah pulled a goal back for Chelsea in the 80th minute, leaving United under pressure until the final whistle. Despite Pedro Neto and Cole Palmer being substituted early by coach Enzo Maresca, Chelsea still created chances and might have earned a draw.

In the end, United held firm. The match was tense, physical and unpredictable, but for Amorim, the three points were all that mattered as his side look to rebuild confidence.
