NBA Round Up: Cavs fall to Kings, Celtics take care of Rockets
LeBron James endured some criticism leading up to Wednesday’s clash against the Sacramento Kings and, after losing 116-112 in overtime, the Cleveland Cavaliers will have a whole new line of questions directed their way.
The Cavs (30-14) have now lost six of the last eight games in which James has played.
And a home loss against the barely relevant Kings team was the worst of them all.
LEBRON PERFORMS BUT CAVS LOSE
James played well Wednesday, tallying a triple-double that included 24 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists.
So did Kevin Love, who had 21 points and 16 rebounds. But Cleveland could not make a stop, which led to 28 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists from DeMarcus Cousins.
THOMAS SHINES AGAINST ROCKETS
Boston Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas may be an even bigger All-Star snub than Russell Westbrook at this point.
Thomas’ latest act of heroics was a 38-point performance in a clutch 120-109 win against the Houston Rockets. Thomas also had nine assists and five rebounds.
WESTBROOK MAKES HIS OWN CASE
Westbrook recorded yet another triple-double by pouring in 27 points with 12 rebounds and 10 assists in a 114-105 win for the Oklahoma City Thunder against the New Orleans Pelicans.
PARKER SHOWS OFF HIS ATHLETICISM

Parker finished the Milwaukee Bucks’ 114-109 loss with 20 points. Nerlens Noel continued to impress for Philadelphia by scoring 16 points with 13 rebounds.
WARRIORS CONTINUE TO CLICK
Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry led the Golden State Warriors to a 113-103 win against the Charlotte Hornets. Durant scored 33 points with five rebounds, while Curry added 28 points and six assists.
Golden State have now won eight of their last nine games.
Dwyane Wade is not accustomed to losing, and he let his Chicago Bulls team-mates have it after their 119-114 defeat to the Atlanta Hawks.
“I don’t know if they care enough, so I can’t say it is. I wish I could say that everyone in here is going to go home and not eat tonight. I can’t say that. I wish I could, but I don’t know that they care enough,” Wade said, via ESPN.com. “Games are supposed to hurt. You’re not supposed to sleep, you’re not supposed to want to talk to anybody.”
Meanwhile, the Miami Heat beat the Brooklyn Nets 109-106, and the Dallas Mavericks beat the New York Knicks 103-95.
The Toronto Raptors slumped to a fifth straight defeat, losing 101-99 to the Memphis Grizzlies, and the Portland Trail Blazers overcame the Los Angeles Lakers 105-98.
SUNS TAKE ON NUGGETS
This game does not appear to have any playoff implications, but it features two of the best players few talk about in Devin Booker and Nikola Jokic.
Booker looks like a solid building block for Phoenix as an explosive shooting guard, while Jokic is a double-double threat.
