Angola rewarded for quarter-final qualification
The Angola national football team has received well-deserved rewards for securing a spot in the quarterfinals of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Banco Angolano de Investimento (BAI) has announced a substantial reward of five million Kwanzas (approximately 5.41 million naira) for each Angola player and coaching staff in recognition of their quarterfinal qualification.
Aguinaldo Jaime, the President of the Board of Directors of UNITEL, has gone above and beyond by gifting each member of the Angolan delegation in Cote d’Ivoire an iPhone 15, complete with complimentary calls, SMS, and free internet for a year. This gesture not only acknowledges the team’s achievement but also reflects the widespread enthusiasm surrounding their journey in the competition.
As the anticipation builds for the quater-final, SODIAM EP has promised a substantial US$250,000 (equivalent to 225 million naira) to the national team and technical staff should Angola triumph over Nigeria and advance to the final of the 34th edition of the Nations Cup.
While the road ahead is challenging, especially against three-time AFCON winners Nigeria, the rewards and gestures from sponsors and organizations underline the significance of the team’s accomplishments.
Angola aims for its first-ever semifinal appearance, while Nigeria, with a strong track record, enters the match with the goal of reaching the semifinals once again. The match promises to be intense, with both teams entering with an unbeaten record in the tournament.
