Anthony Nwakaeme scores again as champions Trabzonspor lose at Başakşehir

Anthony Nwakaeme was on target in a third consecutive game for Turkish league champions Trabzonspor who suffered a 3-1 loss to Başakşehir on Sunday.

The Nigeria attacker scored his side’s only goal as they were beaten at Basaksehir Fatih Terim Stadyumu by Europa League-chasing Basaksehir.

Tony’s goal came after Basaksehir had scored three goals – the goal was a mere consolation for the Turkish league champions Trabzonspor.

The goal was Anthony Nwakaeme’s 13th league goal of the season taking his goal contribution to 23 (13 goals, and 10 assists).

It was his third goal in his last three games, having previously scored in the Turkish Cup 2nd leg semifinal clash against Kayserispor, and a league game against Altay.

No Trabzonspor player has more goal contribution than the Nigerian, the closest was Andreas Cornelius who scored 15 goals and assisted 3 goals.
