Arsenal reconsider making Willian their second highest earner

Arsenal are reportedly reconsidering their offer of making Chelsea winger Willian their second highest paid player according to reports.

The London club who recently renewed the contract of four of their players are very serious in the pursuit of Willian who would be a free agent at the end of this season.

With Chelsea and the Brazillian far from reaching an agreement over a contract extension beyond end of this season, Arsenal are set to snap up the winger who had no issue playing across London.

Willian was said to be on his way to undergo a medical at Tottenham before he was hijack by Chelsea and with a move to Arsenal on the card he would have played for all the top London clubs by the end of his career.

But Arsenal are said to be considering a change in their £250,000 a week wage which put him as the club’s second highest earner after Mesut Ozil who earns £350,000 a week.

The Mirror understand they already offered a contract worth £250,000 to him and his agent Kia Joorabchian
to sign for the Gunner but they are re-considering this because of COVID-19.
