Arsenal influential captain, Martin Odegaard has been named Premier League player of the month for November and December.
The 24-year-old has been a key member of the team with series of impressive performances in the Premier League.
He scored four goals and recorded three assists in the period under review.
Odegaard pipped the likes of Casemiro, Erling Haaland, Joao Palhinha, Kieran Trippier, Bukayo Saka and Marcus Rashford.
He is the first Arsenal player to win the award since Pierre Emerick Aubameyang won it in September 2019.
Odegaard was excited to win the award.
‘It feels great. I’ve said a lot of times this team has a lot of young, hungry players and we play so well with each other, so it’s just a pleasure to be here and to be part of what we’re doing now.
‘It’s a pleasure to play with them and show my qualities so I’m very happy to get this award.’
Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta was also named the Premier League manager of the month for November and December.
The Spaniard guided Arsenal to four wins in the period under review.
He fought off close competition from the likes of Eddie Howe, Thomas Frank, Jurgen Klopp to win the award.
Arsenal have a derby date with North London rivals, Tottenham on Sunday at White Hart Lane.
