Asisat Oshoala’s 20th Goal Secures Barcelona’s 4th Straight Title
She scored 19% of Barca's total goals, the same number as the next two top scorers combined
Asisat Oshoala scored her 20th league goal of the season to help Barcelona beat Sporting Huelva 3-0 and claim the league title for the 4th time in a row with 4 games to spare.
The Super Falcons striker came off the bench to score Barcelona’s third goal late in the game to seal a 3-0 win for her side on Sunday.
It is Barcelona Femini’s 8th title having won four between 2011 and 2015, and then another four between 2019 and 2023.
Asisat Oshoala has won four league titles with the Catalan giants and has always contributed the most goals.
This season, she scored a total of 20 goals in 24 games, which is not only the highest by any Barcelona player but also the same as the next two top scorers from her team combined.
Claudia Pina and Salma Paralluelo are the next top scorers from Barcelona, and both players have 10 goals each, which in total is the same amount scored by Asisat Oshoala alone.
In the league, only Levante’s Alba Maria Redondo Ferrer with 24 goals has more goals than last season’s Pichichi queen, Asisat Oshoala.
So far, Barcelona have scored 108 goals, with 19% of those goals (20) coming from Asisat Oshoala.
