Tuesday NBA Round Up: 76ers mount comeback against Clippers, Spurs win

The Philadelphia 76ers rallied to upstage the Los Angeles Clippers, while the San Antonio Spurs downed the Toronto Raptors.

Philadelphia overcame a 19-point deficit to overcome the Clippers 121-110 in an upset in NBA action on Tuesday.

The Spurs extended their winning streak to five games with a 108-106 win over the slumping Raptors.

Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards topped the Boston Celtics.

GRIFFIN RETURN NOT ENOUGH

Blake Griffin made his comeback for the Clippers after an 18-game absence.

But the 76ers mounted an epic comeback as they outscored the visitors 63-32 in the final 22 minutes of the contest.

SPURS PULL OUT ALL STOPS

Raptors starters DeMarre Carroll (2) and Jared Sullinger (0) combined for just two points as Toronto dropped their fourth game in a row.

On the other side of the court, San Antonio guard Danny Green missed all eight of his three-point attempts and finished with just four points in 35 minutes.

It was not all bad however despite the Spurs playing without Kawhi Leonard, Tony Parker and Pau Gasol. LaMarcus Aldridge scored 21 points and Patty Mills added 18.

WIZARDS TRUMP CELTICS

A newfound rivalry between the Celtics and Wizards prompted John Wall and his Washington cohort to show up to Verizon Center on Tuesday wearing all-black, funeral-themed clothing.

The Wizards never trailed en route to scoring their most points this season in a 123-108 victory over Boston. The last time the two teams met, the Celtics took the victory in a game with five technical fouls and with Wall and Jae Crowder nearly sparking a fight after the game.
