Atletico Madrid 3 Club Brugge 1: Danjuma’s goal not enough for Belgian champions

Nigerian born midfielder Arnaut Groeneveld Danjuma was on target for Club Brugge as they suffered a 3-1 loss to Atletico Madrid at Estadio Wanda Metropolitano in their UEFA Champions League matchday 2 game on Wednesday.

As expected Antoine Griezmann put the hosts in front in the 28th minutes of the game when he scored from Thomas Lemar’s good ball.

11 minutes after the hosts went ajead they were pegged back by an a,azing strike fro Nigeria’s Arnaut Groeneveld Danjuma.

The left wingback bent his shot with his right foot from a difficult angel past Jan Oblak for the Belgian champions equalizer.

At half time it ended 1-1.

Griezmann scored his second of the night to restore Atletico Madrid’s lead in the 6uth minutes after pouncing on a good ball from Diego Costa.

Koke ensured the it was all three points for the hosts with his last minutes strike.

Arnaut Groeneveld Danjuma has now scored a total of 5 goals in all competition this season.
