Yaw Preko, Ikechukwu Ezenwa look beyond 4-0 trashing of MFM FC
FC IfeanyiUbah coach, Yaw Preko, and captain, Ikechukwu Ezenwa have both said the team must move on from beating MFM FC 4-0 at the Ifeanyiubah stadium on match day two.
The duo highlighted the importance of the convincing victory over MFM FC following the incident that rocked the team on their NPFL opener against Kano Pillars where they abandoned the game after claims of repeated inconsistent calls by the referee.
“I commend my players for the result recorded today, we had to respond immediately having in mind what happened in Kano.
“We will continue from here and build on this result to achieve higher feats. This game is over, with three precious points in the kitty, we have to recover quickly now and focus on another game in 4 days time in Ilorin against ABS FC,” Preko said.
“We had to be focused and be committed to the course and not to lose sight in the phase of last weekend’s events against Kano Pillars.
We have many games coming up this season coupled with the continental engagement which is coming up in February. Let’s continue to play good football and get better as each game comes,” Ezenwa said.
