Afeez Aremu: Joining Akwa United like a dream come true

Afeez Aremu who recently signed a year contract with Akwa United from after helping Rivers United win a continental slot this season has described his move to the Promise Keepers as “a dream come true”.
The versatile midfielder revealed to sportlineng.com that it was easier for him to make the decision on joining Akwa United because of the strong interest they showed in him and the opportunity to play under Maikaba who he described as the coach of his choice due to his pattern of play.
“My move to Akwa United is a dream come true.
“I decided to join Akwa United because they really showed interest in me more than other clubs that wanted my signature and they are also a well organized team.
“Coach Abdul Maikaba is a coach that play the pattern of my football (Tiki Taka), so I am really happy to play under him,” he said
Afeez Aremu could play his first official game for Akwa United when they visit newly promoted side ABS FC in Ilorin on the 15th of January.
