Ayton dunk earns Suns Game 2 win over Clippers in Conference Finals

Suns win by one point in heated Game 2 encounter

Phoenix Suns moved one step closer to being crowned Western Conference champions and reaching the NBA finals after they defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 104-103 in Game 2 of their Western Conference final series to go 2-0 up against the Clippers.

In a heated encounter that saw Devin Booker end the match with a broken nose after a collision, DeAndre Ayton scored the winning points with 0.9 seconds left on the clock as he converted Jae Crowder’s Alley-oop pass with Booker putting up a screen for him, leaving the Clippers players bewildered, resulting in an exchange that saw DeMarcus Cousins shove Devin Booker.

DeAndre Ayton recorded a double-double with 24 points and 14 rebounds, Devin Booker finished with 20 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists, and Cameron Payne led the scoring for the Phoenix Suns with 29 points and 9 assists. The teams will face off in Game 3 on Friday.
