Badluck: Remo Stars coach reveals reason for Rangers loss
Remo Stars head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, has blamed his team’s 2-1 defeat to Rangers on bad luck, SportsRation reports.
The loss ended the Sky Blue Stars’ impressive eight-match unbeaten run. However, Ogunmodede’s team still holds an eight-point lead at the top of the table, as second-placed Shooting Stars also lost 2-1 to Heartland in Owerri.
The coach explained that his team missed several chances during the match.
“We had our opportunities but didn’t take them. Rangers scored in the first half from a brilliant free-kick by Isaac Saviour,” Ogunmodede said after the game.
“Then, just as we were starting to get back into the match in the second half, they scored their second goal, which boosted their confidence and helped them secure the win.
“We came here hoping for a win, but unfortunately, luck wasn’t on our side, and we lost.”
