Balogun warns Rangers about the ‘Special One’ ahead of Fenerbahce clash
Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun has warned his Rangers teammates about Fenerbahçe manager José Mourinho ahead of their Europa League last-16 second-leg match.
Rangers won the first leg 3-1 in Turkey last week.
While the Scottish team had the weekend off, Balogun has told his teammates to give their best performance this Thursday if they want to reach the quarter-finals.
“It’s a big week with two important games,” Balogun told the Daily Record. “Fenerbahçe is up first, and we got a great result over there, but we’re facing the Special One with some very good players, so it’s far from over.
“I can only speak for myself, but it really is one game at a time. I’m not thinking too much about the weekend. Of course, it’s there, but these games are always huge.”
After the Fenerbahçe match, Rangers will face Celtic in the Old Firm derby on Sunday.
