Barcelona MVP reveals how he managed to stop Victor Osimhen

Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsi has disclosed the tactics he employed to thwart Victor Osimhen from scoring in their UEFA Champions League match on Tuesday.

The LaLiga champions secured a 3-1 victory over Napoli, advancing to the quarter-finals.

Cubarsi, who made his Champions League debut against Napoli, successfully contained Osimhen throughout the game.

The 17-year-old executed a crucial tackle to halt Osimhen’s progress towards the goal early in the match.

Additionally, the centre-back prevented the Nigerian striker from connecting with a dangerous cross from Zambo Anguissa.

Despite Osimhen managing just one shot on target throughout the game, Cubarsi credited Barcelona coach Xavi for providing him with detailed instructions to neutralize Osimhen’s threat.

Following his outstanding performance, Cubarsi was named Man of the Match.
