Bayelsa United Fully Deserved Win Over Plateau United – Okpara

Bayelsa United technical adviser Meremu Okpara says his team fully deserved their 2-1 victory over Plateau United in Sunday’s Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clash at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa.

Emo James was the hero for the Prosperity Boys, scoring both goals, while Gideon Monday found the net for Plateau United in a tightly contested match.

Speaking after the game, Okpara praised his players for their hard work and determination.

“The game was tough, as we expected, but I think we gave everything for the victory,” Okpara said in his post-match interview.

“Bayelsa United deserved the win because we gave 100 percent.”

The win marks an important boost for Bayelsa United as they continue their push for a strong league position this season.
