Benjamin Tanimu has NOT joined Spanish club Lleida – Bendel Insurance FC announce

NPFL Club Bendel Insurance FC have announced it’s player Benjamin Taminu has not joined Spanish club Lleida Esportiu.

This follows reports that the defender has completed a move to Spanish 4th tier club Lleida Esportiu from the CAF Confederation Cup campaigners.

The letter signed by Bendel Insurance FC media officer Kehinde Osagedie and made available to SportsRation on Wednesday September 6, described as fake stories of Taminu’s transfer.

According to Bendel Insurance, Benjamin Taminu remains their player and is currently training with teammates for the CAF Confederation Cup second qualifying round clash vs RS Berkane on September 16.

However, the Benin Arsenal confirmed offers for the Nigeria U-23 defender from clubs in Spain, Turkey, England, Germany, Serbia, Qatar and Kuwait.

Taminu will stay with Insurance FC while his agent negotiatiates with interested clubs as authorized by the Edo State Government funded outfit.

The defender was key to Bendel Insurance FC’s fantastic performance in the Nigeria Premier Football League and Federation Cup title winning run.
