Big Match in Uyo: Uyo Professionals Host Port Harcourt Pro in Star-Studded Off-Season Friendly
Football fans in Akwa Ibom and beyond are in for a thrilling spectacle as top-tier professional footballers gather for an off-season blockbuster friendly between Uyo Professionals and Port Harcourt Pro’s. The highly anticipated showdown will take place at the Uyo Township Stadium on Saturday, June 21 at 3:00 PM.
With the regular football season wrapped up and players enjoying their break, some of Nigeria’s finest talents many of whom ply their trade both locally and internationally are seizing the opportunity to entertain fans and stay in shape. The match promises to be a carnival of skill, flair, and camaraderie, with top names in Nigerian football gracing the pitch.
The Uyo Professionals team will parade a formidable lineup that includes: Emem Eduok, Mfon Udoh, Godspower Tower, Aniekpeno Udoh, Ekerette Udom, Dennis Nya, Ubong Friday, Franklin Anthony, Aniekeme Okon, Unwana Asuquo and a host of other stars who are making waves at their respective clubs and leagues.
These stars, most of whom hail from or are currently based in Uyo, are determined to put on a show for their home fans. Already, Uyo Professionals have played five games with Academy’s, winning four and lost one in the last month.

Also on the list for the Port Harcourt Pro are Super Eagles goalkeeper John Noble, Former Akwa United defender Samson Gbadebo, Michael Ibe, and a host of other seasoned professionals that make up a star-studded squad ready to challenge the hosts.
