Blessing Nkor Inspired by Super Falcons Stars Oshoala and Ajibade

Deportivo La Coruña striker Blessing Nkor has said that Super Falcons stars Asisat Oshoala and Rasheedat Ajibade have played a big part in inspiring her football journey.

The 21-year-old Nigerian forward, who played in Nigeria’s 2-1 loss to France last year, praised the two senior players as outstanding role models both on and off the pitch.

“Asisat and Rasheedat are exceptional players and role models to me,” Nkor said in an interview with journalist Shina Oludare. “I look up to them and try to learn from their style of play. It’s always good to learn from the best.”

Nkor recently signed a short-term deal with Dépor ABANCA in Spain’s top women’s league. She joined from Turkish side Gaziantep Asya Spor, where she scored 12 goals last season. Before that, she played for Sunshine Queens in Nigeria and Yanga Princesses in Tanzania.

Having already represented Nigeria at youth level, Nkor hopes to follow in the footsteps of her idols and become a regular for the Super Falcons.

Now in Spain, she aims to continue her strong goal-scoring form and reach greater heights in her football career.
