Boniface celebrates fifth Bundesliga Rookie award with goal in Leverkusen win over Bochum

Victor Boniface continued his impressive run by celebrating his fifth consecutive Rookie of the month award with a goal for Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga win over VFL Bochum.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria striker, who has been in outstanding form, scored his 10th Bundesliga goal to help Bayer Leverkusen secure a 4-0 convincing victory over Bochum and finish the year at the top of the German top league.

Although he came off the bench in the 66th minute, Boniface made an immediate impact, scoring in the 69th minute.

Czech Republic’s Patrick Schick had already set the tone for the match with a first-half hattrick, contributing to Bayer Leverkusen’s dominant performance.

Boniface’s goal showcased his strong partnership with Florian Wirtz, as they combined effectively once again.

The Nigerian striker’s goal involvement tally now stands at 24 in 23 appearances across all competitions for Bayer Leverkusen this season.

Bayer Leverkusen concluded the year leading the Bundesliga with 42 points from 16 matches. The defending champions, Bayern Munich, sit in second place, four points behind the league leaders, but with a game in hand.
