Booker steps up to give Suns Game 2 victory over Bucks

Antetokoumpo scores 42 in defeat on record-breaking nighy

The Phoenix Suns picked up a second win over the Milwaukee Bucks, emerging 118-108 winners in Game 2 of their best-of-seven series to go 2-0 up in the NBA Finals. Suns’ star men Devin Booker and Chris Paul were at their best in the win.

The Suns came into the game on the back of a morale-boosting Game 1 victory looking to extend their advantage. Devin Booker led the scoring for the Suns with 31 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Known for his prolific shooting, he made 7 three-pointers in the game. His supporting acts on the night, Mikal Bridges and Chris Paul dropped a combined 50 points. Giannis Antetokoumpo showed he was up for it as he scored 42 points for the Bucks, a playoff career-high. He also contributed 12 rebounds and 4 assists in the game. He scored 20 points in the third quarter of the game, giving him the highest points tally ever of a single player in one quarter of an NBA Final.

Both sides will resume hostilities on July 11th, when Game 3 of the NBA Finals is set to hold. The Bucks will be looking to pick up a win that would put them back in contention, and the Suns know that a win would put them in an irresistible position in the series.
