The Eagles of Carthage are making just their third appearance at the U-20 World Cup, the other two ended in group stage exits in 1977 and 1985.

After a 36-year absence, Montasser Louhichi tutored Tunisia U-20 team have bettered that record after edging France and Japan for the last spot amongst the best 3rd placed teams.

Ramon Menezes and his South America U-20 title winning team started the World Cup journey in Argentina with a 2-3 loss to Italy.

An improved performance vs Guatemala will yield a 6-0 win to set tone for a 2-0 defeat of African side Nigeria in the last group match.

Nigeria and Tunisia did faceoff in the 3rd place final of the last U-20 AFCON on March 10. The Flying Eagles spanked the North Africans 4-0 to take the Bronze medal in Egypt.

That Brazil defeated Nigeria in their last match adds to why bookmakers favour them to progress but every game has its dynamics and could throw up a surprising outcome in La Plata.

The winner of this game will face Israel in the quater-final after the debutants sent Uzbekistan packing courtesy of a late-strike by Anan Khalaili in their Round of 16 clash on Monday night.
