The news that Manchester United important trio has been ruled out of a must win FA Cup clash against Chelsea is the last thing Jose Mourinho needed going to his former club.

The trio Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford have all been ruled out of the FA Cup clash against Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho travels to Stamford Bridge on Monday evening looking for revenge after his United side were thrashed 4-0 by the Blues five months ago.

But the Red Devils will be without Rooney, Martial and Rashford, while Antonio Conte is believed to have a fully-fit squad at his disposal.

Captain Rooney will miss the quarter-final fixture after colliding with Phil Jones in training and suffering a leg injury.

Forwards Martial and Rashford, meanwhile, will both be absent for the FA Cup holders through illness.

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic serving the first of his three-match ban against the Blues, United have no recognised strikers available.
