Brown Ideye Bids Emotional Farewell to Enyimba
Nigerian striker Brown Ideye has officially parted ways with Enyimba FC after a short stint with the Nigeria Premier Football League club.
The experienced forward, who joined the People’s Elephant during the 2024/25 season, confirmed his departure with a heartfelt message thanking the club.
In his emotional farewell, Ideye expressed deep appreciation to everyone connected with Enyimba – from the club’s management to his teammates and the fans.
“To the chairman, staff, my teammates, and fans of Enyimba FC, thank you for the wonderful journey. It’s been an honour to wear the jersey and play for one of the biggest and best football clubs in Nigeria and Africa,” Ideye wrote.
He also reflected on the memories he made both on and off the pitch during his time in Aba.
“As I move on, I’m grateful for the fond memories we created together. I appreciate the love, respect, and support you all gave me from day one. This club will always have a great place in my heart.”
The 35-year-old striker, who was part of the Super Eagles team that lifted the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa, brought experience and leadership to Enyimba during his spell.
While Ideye’s next move is yet to be confirmed, his exit marks the end of a notable chapter with Nigeria’s most successful football club.
