Bruno the difference as Ole’s Red Devils March on in FA Cup

Through to 5th round after defeating Liverpool

Manchester United had Portuguese magnifico, Bruno Fernandes to thank after his stunning freekick against Liverpool secured their place in the 5th round of the FA Cup. United won the game 3-2 after coming from behind.

Liverpool took the lead when Mohamed Salah opened the scoring in the first half with a chipped effort over Dean Henders on in the Manchester United goal. The lead didn’t last long as youngster Mason Greenwood drilled home an equaliser off a Marcus Rashford long ball. Rashford then helped himself to a goal in the second half to give United the lead, but Salah once again found the net to equalise for the Merseyside giants. It took an exceptional piece of brilliance from Bruno Fernandes to however decide the tie as his freekick from just outside the box flew into the bottom left corner of Alisson’s goal.

The result ensured that Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp continues his woeful run of having never gone past the 4th round of the FA Cup with Liverpool, as he still also awaits his first win at Old Trafford since his appointment as Liverpool boss in 2015. Manchester United will now face West Ham United in the 5th round.
