Burnley v Everton: Koeman’s men to snap winless run at Turf Moor?

By: Dehinbo Timothy
Newly promoted Burnley were comfortably beaten by Southampton at St. Mary’s in their last outing, leaving the Clarets just a point above the relegation zone with some of the lower teams gaining some ground last weekend.

However, they will be at least content with their start to the season having already won two games, one being the shock win over title contenders Liverpool and mostly facing stronger sides.

Manager Dyche will be looking to make amends from their previous failed spell in the top flight just two seasons ago and will try to instill more ruthlessness and efficiency when more favourable fixtures kick in later on.

An improved, resurgent Everton has been tangling well with the top clubs in the league this season as the Toffees are actually just four points away from leaders Manchester City in an impressive start to Ronald Koeman’s tenure as manager.

However, their impressive start has slowed down a little as they remain winless in three at the moment but the recent draw at the Etihad stadium is a creditable result and should quickly motivate the team to get going once again.

Shrewd transfer dealings alongside a refreshing new scenery for the players under an ambitious, top-level proven manager could culminate in a highly successful season.

Burnley are difficult to break down at Turf Moor, but Everton should be too strong and motivated to end their winless run.

PREDICTION:BURNLEY 0-1 EVERTON
