CAF snubs Nigerian center referees for AFCON 2019
The Confederation of African Football has released 56 names of official consisting 27 referees and 29 assistant referees for the 2019 AFCON with no center referee from Nigeria.
The initial CAF’s list of officials who will conclude their preparation with a workshop in Morocco has just one Nigerian official Baba Adel and he will only function as an assistant referee.
Tunisia and Egypt have the largest contingent of Referees and Assistant Referees for the biggest football tournament in Africa with 3 Referees and 2 Assistants Referees each.
