Calvin Bassey left out of Ajax Germany trip as he closes in Fulham move
Nigerian defender Calvin Bassey was left out the Ajax squad for the pre-season trip to Germany as he closes in on a move to Fulham FC.
On Saturday July 22, English Premier League side Fulham FC reached agreement with Ajax Amsterdam for a twenty-one million pounds transfer fee for the versatile Nigerian defender.
In a tweet on Monday July 24, Dutch reporter Mike Verweij confirmed Calvin Bassey has been granted permission to discuss personal terms with London club Fulham ahead of a move this summer.
Ajax have given Calvin Bassey permission to complete his agreement with Fulham over personal terms.
The two clubs have already reached an agreement on a fee for €21M.

When complete, Bassey will bid farewell to Dutch Eredivise giants Ajax Amsterdam after a difficult one-year following his signing from Glasgow Rangers in 2022.
The 23-year old Nigerian International will now meet Fulham FC to discuss personal terms and possibly fly to London for medicals to seal the move away from Ajax.
Brighton and Hove Albion were the first to be linked with interest in signing the Nigerian International but may seek other options as he nears a switch to Fulham FC.
