CAMEROON STANDS ON NIGERIA WAY TO URUGUAY

Nigeria U-17 women national team, Flamingoes face a big task in Yaounde in a fortnight after they could only force their Cameroonian counterparts to a 2-2 draw in their 2018 FIFA U-17 women’s world cup final round, first leg last Saturday.

The scoreline means the Nigeria U-17 girls are without a win in three consecutive FIFA U-17 women world cup qualifiers with three draws in three matches.

Though, Nigeria U-17 women national team are still unbeaten against Cameroon in the U-17 world cup qualifiers having played three matches, won 1 drew 2.

Cameroon on their part, are battle ready this time as they are determined to qualify for world in Uruguay. Their result against Algeria whom they defeated 11-0 on aggregate in the first round is a big statement which should give the Flamingoes handlers and we’ll meaning Nigerians a sleepless night.

For Nigeria to qualify they need an outright win in Yaounde, or a high score draw from 3-3.
My worry is that the Cameroonian are a high scoring side who have scored 13 goals in 3 matches (including 2 away goals in Nigeria).

Since the competition finals was launched in New Zealand 10 years ago, Nigeria has not missed any tournament.

Can we pick one of the three CAF’s slots in the 2018 U-17 World Cup qualifiers?
