Carlos Alcaraz named ‘perfect tennis player’ by World Number 14
World number 14, Holger Rune has shared who he thinks has the best tennis brain and ‘perfect tennis player’ on the ATP Tour at the moment.
The 21-year-old Dane, currently ranked world No. 14, has beaten top players like Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, and Jannik Sinner. He made a name for himself as a teenager by winning the Paris Masters in 2022, where he defeated Djokovic in the final.
Rune, who has played against many of the best players in the game, has now picked his “perfect player” by choosing traits from different rivals. When asked who has the best tennis brain, Rune didn’t hesitate and chose Carlos Alcaraz.
Rune and Alcaraz have known each other since their junior days and even played doubles together in 2017.
For other categories, Rune chose some more experienced players. He named Roger Federer as having the best forehand, while Andy Murray was his pick for the best backhand. Rune also chose former world No. 5 Fernando Gonzalez for the best power, and he believes Nick Kyrgios has the best serve.
